What does a couples massage look like?
A couples massage means two people get massages at the same time, in the same private room, on two side-by-side tables, with two therapists. You can each pick your own style and pressure โ one Swedish, one deep tissue is fine, or both the same. The room is dim, the music is low, and most couples settle into a comfortable shared quiet rather than chatting through the session.
At Susie Oriental Massage Spa on Imperial Hwy in La Habra, our larger private room is set up specifically for couples, friends, family, or anyone who wants company during their session. There is no awkward setup, no performance, just two clean tables and two professional therapists who know the rhythm of a shared session well.
Who books couples sessions most?
Couples sessions are popular for almost any occasion in La Habra and the surrounding area:
- Date nights โ couples from La Habra, Brea, and Fullerton often book before or after dinner
- Anniversaries and birthdays โ a quiet shared treat that beats flowers
- Weekend wind-downs โ Saturday afternoons are especially popular
- Mother and daughter trips โ a low-pressure way to spend an hour together
- Best friend catch-ups โ relaxing without needing to fill silence with conversation
- Out of town visits โ when family or friends visit, this is a great shared experience
- Just because โ many of our regular couples come once a month, no occasion needed
If it is your partner's first massage ever, doing it together is one of the best ways to ease the new-experience nerves. About a third of our walk-in guests are first-timers, and our therapists know exactly how to put new guests at ease.
Inside our couples room
The couples room at Susie Spa is our largest private room. It fits two heated massage tables with enough space between them to move comfortably, plus a chair for clothes and bags. Soft warm lighting, calming music at low volume, and fresh linens for every session. The door closes for full privacy, and only your two therapists enter the room during your session.
Both tables are set up at the same time, so the two of you can lie down together rather than waiting for one another. Therapists move quietly and rarely talk to each other, so the room stays calm. If you want to chat with your partner during the session, that is fine. Most couples find they end up enjoying the quiet together more than they expected.
The best part of a couples massage is not the massage. It is having the same hour of quiet at the exact same time as your favorite person.

Calling ahead guarantees the room is open.
Pricing and what to expect
Pricing is simple and stays the same every visit:
- 60 minute couples session โ $120 total for two people, including both therapists
- 30 minute couples session โ $80 total for two people, when you are short on time
- Each guest picks their own style โ Swedish, deep tissue, hot oil, or a blend
- Each guest picks their own pressure โ light, medium, or firm, no need to match
That is the whole price. No couples-room surcharge, no hidden fees, no service charge added at checkout. We accept cash and major credit cards. Tips are appreciated in cash and go directly to each therapist, but tips are never required.
Booking and walk-in tips
For couples sessions, calling ahead is strongly recommended. The couples room is our most popular room, especially on Friday evenings, Saturday afternoons, and Sunday mornings. A quick phone call to 818-660-6999 guarantees the room is open and both therapists are ready when you arrive.
Walk-in couples are welcome any day, but if the couples room is in use we may need a short wait. Weekday afternoons are usually the easiest time to walk in for a couples session. Free parking is right outside Suite B on Imperial Hwy, no meters or garage fees. Coming from Brea, Fullerton, Whittier, or La Mirada, the drive is under 12 minutes via local streets and SR-57.
First time couples massage?
If either of you has never had a massage before, doing it together is one of the easiest ways to start. The shared experience takes the pressure off โ you have someone next to you the whole time, and you can compare notes after.
- Tell us at check-in if either guest is new. Your therapists will explain the flow and make sure both of you feel comfortable.
- Pressure is fully adjustable. If yours feels too firm or too light, just say so during the session.
- Wear comfortable clothes for after. Loose layers are easiest to put back on.
- Plan for about 80 minutes total for a 60 minute session, including check-in, changing, and payment.
- Bring cash for tips if you want to tip directly. Cash goes straight to each therapist.
Best occasions for a couples session
Couples massage works for almost any moment when two people want to share an hour of quiet together. We see all kinds of pairs walk into our La Habra spa each week:
- Date nights. Many couples book a session before dinner at one of the local Brea, Fullerton, or Whittier restaurants. Walking into dinner already relaxed changes the whole evening.
- Anniversary surprises. An hour of side-by-side massage is more memorable than a card and easier to pull off than a fancy weekend trip.
- Birthday gifts. Booking a couples session for your partner's birthday, then joining them, is one of the most loved gifts our regulars give.
- Pre-wedding wind-downs. Brides and grooms often book a couples session in the days before the big day to take the edge off.
- Mom and adult daughter. A lovely shared experience with no pressure to keep a conversation going.
- Old friends visiting from out of town. Beats sitting in a noisy bar trying to catch up.
- Just because. Many of our regular couples come every few weeks for no specific reason at all.
Planning the perfect couples visit
A few simple choices make a couples session even better:
- Call ahead. The couples room is our most popular space. A quick call to 818-660-6999 guarantees the room is open when you arrive.
- Pick the same time, different styles. Both of you start and finish together, but each picks their own style and pressure. One Swedish and one deep tissue is a common combo.
- Arrive ten minutes early. This gives you both time to use the restroom, change without rushing, and settle into the room together.
- Plan a meal after. Most couples find they are extra hungry and extra calm after their session โ a great combination for a slow dinner.
- Bring cash for tips. If you want to tip the therapists, cash is best because it goes straight to each one. Standard tip is around 15 to 20 percent of the total.
Easy reach from anywhere nearby

What our regulars tell us
Most of our regular guests in La Habra and the surrounding cities tell us the same kinds of things, year after year. Three themes come up the most often:
- "It feels like a real local spot, not a chain." Because we are not a chain. We are a small studio with the same friendly therapists you see every visit.
- "The pricing is honest and stays the same." No surprise upsells, no service charges added at checkout, no membership pitch when you walk in.
- "I can just walk in after work." Open until 10 PM seven days a week means you do not need to plan a week ahead. Stop by when you need it.
If something about your visit is not perfect, please tell us at the front. We have built a local reputation on doing things the right way, and we want every guest to leave better than they walked in. Friendly faces from La Habra, Brea, Fullerton, Whittier, and La Mirada keep coming back, and that is the highest compliment our small team can earn each week, every season, every year.
Two tables, two therapists, one quiet hour together โ the easiest reset you can plan with someone you love.
